While in Miami Jay-z and Beyonce visited Design Miami to pick out furniture for there new South Beach condo. They were given a private tour of the exhibit, an installation of contemporary and modern art and furniture. While on the tour a white crochet chair by Dutch contemporary designer Marcel Wanders caught their eye. They purchased the chair for $40,000. The chair was cotton and coated with epoxy resin.
